ADT demos delivered to Stanford, Analog Devices, and Goodix
ADT demos delivered to Stanford, Analog Devices, and Goodix
Jan witnessed the delivery of the first ADT demos to leading universities and IC design companies. We delivered a demo to Stanford University hosted by Prof. Boris Murmann, and it was very well received. Prof. Murmann described ADT as a "very promising tool". We also delivered demos to Analog Devices Egypt and Goodix Egypt. Both expressed their interest in receiving ADT trial license. More demos are on the way!
Jan witnessed the delivery of the first ADT demos to leading universities and IC design companies. The first public glimpse of ADT was presented in an online live session: "The gm/ID Design Methodology Demystified Using The Analog Designer's Toolbox (ADT)". Due to high demand, the session was moved from a zoom private webinar to a YouTube livestream. The session was presented twice: in Arabic and in English. Khaled's thesis is entitled "Injection Locked Oscillators". Khaled's work was supervised by Dr. Sameh A. Ibrahim and Dr. Hesham Omran. The examination committee included Prof. Mohamed Dessouky from Ain Shams University and Prof. Ahmed Nader from Cairo University. Khaled published one journal paper and one conference paper during his thesis. Congratulations Khaled!

Karim D. Khalil presented our latest conference paper at NRSC 2020
Master Micro Alumnus Karim D. Khalil presented our latest conference paper at NRSC 2020 (indexed by IEEEXplore and Scopus). The paper is entitled "Application of Artificial Neural Networks to the Automation of Bandgap Reference Synthesis", and it was part of an exciting project where analog IC design automation meets machine learning and artificial intelligence. The paper resulted from work by Nabil R. Soliman, Karim D. Khalil, and Ahmed M. Abd El Khaliq, all supervised by Dr. Hesham Omran in Summer 2019. The most inspiring part of the story is that they were sophomore (2nd year) electrical engineering students when they did this great work! Congratulations!
